Wow, that was an awesome science unit! How well do you know the 3 laws of motion now?
Give examples of each of the laws of motion from your everyday life and from around your house!

Sarah: An example of the second law of motion at my home is that when I lift something heavy it is always harder to carry because it has more mass but, when I carry something lighter it is easier to carry. An example of the third law is that when I hit a drum-action-it always makes sound -reaction-. An example of the first law is that when I kick a soccer ball it ether keeps rolling until it stops or someone else stops it.
ReplyDeleteAidan: An example of the first law is when i set down a ball. It sits there without any movement. It stays there until BAM i kick it. As i exert force onto that ball it flys away. An example of the second law is when i help my dad carry something i push it down the hall. It has alot of 'mass' and is therefore harder to carry. An example of the third law is when i lean on a wall. It exerts force to keep me from falling into it.
ReplyDeleteAidan:An example of the first law is when I stand still. No outside force is moving me. An example of the second law is when I try to push my sister and my dad. My dad has more mass therfore it is harder to push it. An example of the third law is when i kick a ball. My foot hits the ball exerting force. The reaction is it flys away
ReplyDeleteAidan: An example of the First law is when i put a ball on the ground. It doesn't move until I kick it I exert force making it move. An example of the second law is when i push a chair. One has my sister on it and the other has my dad on it. The one with my sister on it has less mass so it is easier to push. An example of the third is when my sister and I push each other. We both push equal an opisite force so we stay in one spot.
ReplyDeleteAidan:An example of the first law is when you look at a cup. It dosen't move unless you hit it... Inertia. An example of the second law is when you push a big rock. It is hard to push because it has more mass. An example of the third law is when you run into a wall. It exerts a force that is opisite and equal force therfore making me stay there.
ReplyDeleteAidan: An example of the first law of motion is when you look at a kite and it sits there until the wind hits it... inertia. An example of the second law is when you try to push over a tree. It won't fall because it has alot of mass. An example of the third law is when you try to run through a wall but the wall exerts force making you fall down.
ReplyDeleteAidan: An example of the first law is when you put a lit candle down. It dosen't flicker unless you blow. An example of the second law is when you run with a backpack on you have alot of mass so you are slow. An example of the third law is when you punch a wall the wall puts out equal and opisite force to not break.
